The plan for today was to wake up, feed Garrett, finish loading the car, and get on the road early so that he'd sleep for the three and half hour trip to Mimi and Paw Paw's house for the holidays. I expected him to wake up around 6 or 7 am...that's what I get for "planning" with a baby! He didn't wake up until 8 am, then he didn't want to take his bottle, so that took some time. Finally, we got on the road around 9am! We already had plans to meet Ms. Jackie and Ms. Diane around 1:oo pm at Mom & Dad's house. Little man woke up on the Atchafalaya Bridge, and cried off and on for the last hour of the trip. By the time we arrived at 12:15pm, he was ready for his bottle!
We had a nice visit with Ms. Jackie & Ms. Diane. After being passed back and forth, he was ready to go back down for a nap! They learned real fast that Garrett likes to be swaddled tight for sleepy time! :)
